Mountain Bike Ride This Sunday
I am trying to organize a mountain bike ride this Sunday with my team. Everyone is welcome to join us. I think it will be at Freedom Park, but I don't know the time yet (probably early, like 8). I am planning to bring my mountain bike and cross bike to give it try. Since I have only been to Freedom Park once, could anyone tell me how the cross bike will hold up. Keep checking here for the updates on the time. See ya out there.

Time Trial
It was nothing to write home about, but I was very pleased with my time trial this morning. Last year I did one of these in the series and had a time of around 58 minutes. I practiced a little more this year and worked on some stuff. The first race in this series this year I got a 54:11. Pretty damn good for me.
Well the last time I had my aero bars on the bike was that race, until this morning. Today the wind was different, it was hotter, and I dropped my only water bottle about halfway through. So my time of 54:56 was still pretty damn good for me. Hopefully for the final one I will have my new TT bike. Watch out for me next year, this is a goal of mine...to be a better time trialist. Good job to everyone out there today, especially those animals who got below 50, that's amazing.

Another Addition to the Family
The Giant family that is. I have just ordered my new Time Trial bike. It won't be here in time for this weekends race, but I should have it by PTT#3. It is the Giant Trinity A1. A few years ago I had decided I wanted to be a triathlete. I had not raced bikes for about 10 years at this point. I bought the Giant TCR Aero and loved it. That is when I fell back in love with bike racing. I than bought a Giant TCR aluminum road bike (which is now my fixed gear), then I sold the Tri bike so I could get a carbon road bike. I have missed that Tri bike ever since. So I'm excited...except this time I am going to call it a TT bike NOT a Tri bike. And hopefully it makes me faster in the TTs, because right now I am not.

Cyclocross experience
Well I went out on my new cyclocross yesterday. I rode from my house to Damn Neck and then some trails. I loved it. I did have one issue...I was standing up, went to sit down at the same time I hit a root. My seat met me half way and caused a little pain. Later that night I was thinking to myself...is it normal to pee blood? I think I'm better now.

60 miles and still had a sprint in me
Masters 30+ State Road Race in Richmond. Nice course. Rolling hills but nothing big was the perfect course for me. I felt good through the whole race although I didn't do much work. With no team there I didn't want to totally waste myself. The field sprint opened up perfectly, maybe just a little late and I was able to take third in sprint. There were 4 riders ahead so I got 7th overall but got a bronze medal for 30-34 group. I was thrilled with those results.
